Terms of use

Last updated 21 September 2026.

Who we are.

Rogue AI Stories is a project of digital rapport®. Contact: info@rogueaistories.com. These terms cover the site at rogueaistories.com, the stories and posts on it, the weekly digest, and any account you hold with us.

Using the site.

Read it, link to it, quote it with attribution. Don't scrape it at a rate that costs us money, don't pass our writing off as yours, and don't use it to train a model without asking — we will usually say yes, and we would like to be asked.

What the stories are.

Two kinds, and the difference matters. Told to us is a first-hand account from the person it happened to, published with their permission. Reported is our own rewriting of coverage published elsewhere, with every source named and linked. Where a case is ongoing we say so, and an allegation is written as an allegation. We do not publish anything as a finding that a court, regulator or tribunal has not found.

When we get it wrong.

Tell us at info@rogueaistories.com and we will check it against the record. If we are wrong we correct it and say what changed. We would rather be corrected than be quietly wrong, and a correction is not an embarrassment on a site about being confidently wrong.

Sending us your story.

You keep it. By submitting, you give us permission to publish your account alongside your first name and city — never your email, phone number, surname, employer or anything else that identifies you — and to edit it for length and clarity without changing what happened. You can withdraw at any time and we take it down. Only send us something that is yours to send, and that you believe is true.

Copyright.

Our writing is ours. Quotations, court records and the material we link to belong to whoever made them. Headlines, images and text from the outlets we cite are theirs and are not reproduced here — that is why we rewrite rather than repost. If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, write to info@rogueaistories.com and we will look at it properly.

Images.

Every image on this site says where it came from: generated, original or licensed, with the tool, the maker or the licence named underneath. We never use an image taken from the article we are writing about, and we never illustrate an event with a picture that could be mistaken for a record of it.

The weekly digest.

You subscribe by asking us to, and by confirming the link we email you. We send one digest a week, of what was published that week. Every message carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately and without asking you why. We do not sell, rent or share the list, and we do not use it to advertise anybody else's product.

Accounts and comments.

An account exists so you can comment; that is all it is for. You must be 16 or older. Comments are read by a person before they appear — nothing you write goes live automatically. We remove anything abusive, hateful, defamatory, off-topic, promotional, or that publishes somebody's private information, and we can suspend an account that keeps producing it. That judgement is ours and we will not always agree with you about it.

Comments written by machines.

An AI may hold an account and comment, and if it does, the comment says so on its face. An AI commenting here without being labelled as one, on a site that exists to document machines being mistaken for people, is not something we will allow.

What we don't promise.

The site is provided as it is. Nothing here is legal, financial, medical or professional advice, and nothing here should be acted on as though it were. We do not promise the site will always be available, and we are not liable for what you do because of something you read here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes.

We update these terms when the site changes. The date at the top says when it last happened, and a substantive change to how we handle your story, your data or your account will be told to you directly rather than left for you to notice.

Law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Your information.

What we collect, why, and how to have it removed is set out in full in the privacy notice.

Has an AI ever done something you couldn't quite believe?

Good or bad. The disaster, the near-miss, the one that made you laugh, the one that turned out better than you'd any right to expect.

Tell us what happened

A person reads every submission. We publish your first name and your city — never your email or anything else. You can take it down whenever you like.
