Sign up to the Weekly digest

One email, every Friday: everything published that week as a short list of bullets, with a line each on what it was and what to watch for. Nothing else — no offers, no "you might also like", no second email on a Tuesday because we thought of something.

What's in it.

The week's stories from both lanes: first-hand accounts people sent us, and the reported cases we rewrote with the sources linked. If we published a piece of our own writing that week, that's in it too. If we published nothing, you get nothing — an empty newsletter sent to fill a slot is somebody else's idea of a good week.

What it costs you.

Your email address, and that is the whole list. We don't sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone for anything. Every issue carries a link that takes you off immediately, without asking you why, and you never need an account for any of it. The privacy notice sets out exactly what we store and how to have it deleted.

One thing before you sign up.

You'll get an email asking you to confirm. Until you click the link in it, you are not on the list and we will not send you anything else. That's deliberate: it means nobody can sign up an address that isn't theirs, and it means the list is only people who actually asked.

The weekly digest

One email a week, on a Friday: what was published, in bullets. Leave whenever you like — every issue carries the link.

We use your email for the digest and nothing else, and never pass it on. How we handle it.

Has an AI ever done something you couldn't quite believe?

Good or bad. The disaster, the near-miss, the one that made you laugh, the one that turned out better than you'd any right to expect.

Tell us what happened

A person reads every submission. We publish your first name and your city — never your email or anything else. You can take it down whenever you like.
